Eolas faoin Imeacht
Beidh uasmhéid ochtar páirteach sa cheardlann seo. Dá bharr sin moltar duit clárú go luath chun d’áit a chur in áirithe le do thoil.
Tá trí cheardlann san iomlán i gceist anseo: De hAoine, 17ú ag 2in-4in; Dé Sathairn, 18ú ag 3in-4in agus De Domhnaigh, 19ú ag 3in-4in. Tá muid ag dúil go mbeidh na rannpháirtithe i láthair ag achan cheardlann sa tsraith. Is é aidhm na gceardlann seo ná snas a chur ar ár gcuid Gaeilge chomh maith le scileanna scríbhneoireachta a fhobairt. Cuirfear na ceardlanna ar fáil ar bhonn dátheangach ach beidh an scríbhneóireacht i nGaeilge amháin, dar ndóigh! Beidh an t-imeacht seo dírithe ar dhaoine a bhfuil caighdéan/ leibhéal GCSE i nGaeilge acu a bheag nó a mhór; ní chaithfidh na rannpháirtithe bheith líofa i nGaeilge. Beidh Ian McMillan i mbun na gceadlann. Bíonn Ian ag teagasc GCSE-Irish le Glór Uachtar Tíre san oíche agus is múinteoir Gaeilge, Spáinnis, Gearmáinis agus Laidin é ag Coláiste Séimhne, Caisleán Nua. Ghnóthaigh Ian an chéad duais (aois ghrúpa thar 30 bliain) sa chomórtas eagraithe ag Áras Scríbhneóirí na hÉireann darb ainm, ‘Writing for a Change’ le gearrscéal i nGaeilge.
This workshop will have eight participants max so please book early to ensure your place.
This project consists of a suite of three workshops: Friday, 17 at 2pm-4pm; Saturday, 18th at 3pm-4pm and Sunday 19th at 3pm-4pm. It’s anticipated that participants will attend all three workshops. The focus here will be on improving Irish language skills as much as writing skills. The workshops will be run bilingually though all the writing, will of course, be in Irish. These workshops are aimed at people with at least GCSE-level Irish or thereabouts; it is not expected that participants will be fluent in Irish. The workshops will be taken by Ian McMillan, who teaches GSCE classes for Glór Uachtar Tíre. Ian teaches Irish, German, Spanish and Latin at Shimna College, Newcastle. Ianwas awarded first prize (over 30 years category) in the The Irish Writers Centre‘Writing for a Change’ competition with an Irish language short story.
